We list opportunities from not-for-profit organizations, whether or
not there is a fee to enter, and from for-profit entities only if there
is no fee to enter or to show. (For-profits that charge application fees should buy a classified ad.)
We limit new listings to about 190-235 per issue. From all those we
receive, we pick those that offer the best value. We favor things that
are free to the entrants, offer good rewards in relation to the fees,
make the world a more interesting place, increase the exposure of those
accepted or are prestigious or special in some other way. Each entry is
edited into a capsulized format, to make it easier for the busy reader
to find those things that might be most appropriate for him or her.
